I realised that it’s been a year since I launched this blog
but never really made my ‘About page.’ So, here it is.
My name is Mahikaa. I’m a teenager living in India. I like
to read all genres of fictional material available. And, as it might be
evident, I write for pleasure. And to get things off my chest. Seriously, any
time of the year you can expect me to be working on a novel project.
As for the blog, I created it to be able to communicate and
discuss the abstract and random thoughts I tend to have. To follow me and my
train of thought as I navigate through the topic.
And there’s a reason for my blog to be called ‘My
Inescapable Thought Abyss.’
There’s a reason behind every word of it. It’s inescapable.
You cannot simply escape your thoughts. They’re always there, whether their
presence is appreciated or not. It’s an abyss because it’s seemingly
bottomless. That gives me a little idea of what infinity might be, literally.
Oh, look, it's you again. You perhaps submitted twice for assignment one. Anyhow, cool ideas. I love not only that thoughts are potentially abysmal, but also our langauge has to be dynamic enough to encapsulate those ideas. Also, I have started meditating lately and have realized that thoughts and emotions do not have to define me and can be fleeting, but where do thoughts go and if they do go somewhere, where do they even come from. Just try to observe your thoughts coming and going like the sound of thunder in the distance!
